'DUNE - The Sisterhood' is the third of several videos/tracks inspired by the Dune Novels by Frank Herbert as well as all the various films made by different directors like David Lynch, Denis Villeneuve and Alejandro Jodorowsky. This video takes its inspiration from the sisterhood of the Bene Gesserit. They are an integral organisation in the 'Dune' story capable of superhuman powers by physical and mental conditioning. They seek to guide humanity on an enlightened path in the story.

I'm a massive Dune fan and always have been, and making hour-long ambient pieces inspired by films allows me to experiment with my Eurorack modular synthesizer in new ways rather than making songs for my own albums.

Track setup:
I used various Arabian Ney Flute and voice samples downloaded from Sampleswap.com in this track. The samples were triggered on a disting EX and then run through Mutable Instruments Beads and Clouds for some choppy granulation and then Happy Nerding FX AID Pro with some massive Black Hole reverb. Additionally I ran a drone from Mutable Instruments Plaits being modulated by Non Linear Circuits Triple Sloths. The drone as well as the left and right channels of Beads and Clouds had their volume modulated in MI Veils by MI Tides.
